Interesting that in the stitch count field for gauge only a whole number can be entered. The length measured can be a decimal. For example I could not enter 17.5 stitches over 5 inches, I had to enter 19 and 5.5 inches.

Oh dear. I need to fix that. In the meantime you could also double both figures and enter 35 over 10 inches and it will correctly calculate the number over 4 inches. Thanks for letting me know about that problem. It should come to 3.5 over 4", not 3.45 over 4" as your calculation would do.
