i Am an intermediate knitter. I am just getting into sweater knitting and because my family is of generous size I’ve been having difficulties finding patterns that I don’t have to fiddle with. Thank you for developing this site, it may be the answer to my prayers. A little bit about me. I retired several years ago in order to take care of my Mom and my Hubby, both who have health problems. Knitting helps me distress. I love learning new techniques and creating things. My hubby and I are blessed with 2 sons, 1 daughter in law, and 1 grandson. I enjoy knitting gifts for our entire family. I live in Western North Carolina in a very small town. Besides knitting, I also enjoy cooking, watching foreign films, card making, cross stitch, painting, sewing and working with polymer clay. Knitting is by far my favorite thing to do and right now the only craft I do as my craft room has been packed away so that my Mom could move in. I try to get an hour of knitting in every day and am currently working on 2 sweaters for myself. As I am not a very fast knitter, I’ve been working on these sweaters for awhile. One sweater is a top down raglan with an interesting stitch pattern of 3 purls and a knit in the back loop. It will have some lacework toward the bottom. Because it has so many purls in the pattern I am utilizing the Portuguese method of knitting. I also figured out how to knit both sleeves at the same time which was a little fiddly to start but worked out and since I like doing my socks and mittens in pairs, this method was more satisfying then knitting both sleeves individually. The second sweater is a bottom up yoked sweater with colorwork at the bottom. This is my first bottom up sweater in the round and it will be interesting to see how it turns out since I cannot try it on as I go. I am about 2/3 done with the first sweater and a little less than 1/3 complete on the second sweater. Since it is November and I still have a few gifts to knit, the sweaters will need to be put aside for a time so I can get some hats done. Well, this is all I have for now, I wish everyone happy knitting😄

I am not a very fast sweater knitter due to time restraints but have found that Phrancko's pattern goes VERY quickly. Personally, I love that there is no seaming.

Good luck with your projects, and happy knitting!!
