Hi I’m Barry. I live in Gutttenberg NJ, on the waterfront looking at NYC. I think this will help my math-challenged brain make sweaters that fit! Thanks Frank!

    Welcome, Barry,

Yes, there are indeed a lot of calculations going into every pattern created here! It all started with calculating the bell shaped sleeve cap for Phrancko's Seamless Set-in Sleeves construction. But then there were many other complications that got worked out over the past year, like, making different instructions for sizes where the neckline dips below the start of the sleeve cap, creating multiple fits for the same person (which measurements change and which stay the same?), how many increases and cast-ons at the bottom of the sleeve cap, tapering the sleeves, reducing the selected number of sts before each ribbing, and the many, many stitch counts throughout the pattern. Last but not least was calculating the estimated yardage required for the sweater.

So yes, believe it or not, you get the result of an entire year of refinements of calculations in every pattern. So thanks for appreciating that.

I'm checking here all day every day to answer any questions and respond to feedback. So please let me know if you run into something you need help with.

And please share this with your knitting friends! We need to introduce more of our brothers to the wonderful world of knitting and the precious knitting community. And tell them sweaters are not as hard as they think, if you find that's true after knitting one of these patterns.
